Jodie O’Regan launches her book: The Story Of Brigid - a song cycle for soprano and harp - telling the story of Brigid, Goddess of Ireland.

The songs are the narrator's ballads woven through Jodie’s chamber opera Fire Songs, re-crafted as a standalone song cycle.

“I wrote this cycle for Adelaide's stunning harpist-singer singer Emma Horwood. Last November Emma recorded them in Redruth Studio, and now we are proud to release the recording online. To celebrate I’ve created a companion book - a beautiful collection of sheet music, lyrics, art, background story, with links to pdfs of sheet music and the recordings.

We are launching the book and songs in Mylor - where I first sat under the oak trees to write Brigid's poetry.”
