Since 2013, Chamber Music Adelaide’s On the Terrace has been recognised as an innovative and engaging event in Adelaide’s annual arts and cultural events calendar.
Building on the success of this format and seeking to provide an opportunity for chamber artists to expand their market reach and engage with audiences beyond the city,
CMA presents the Twin Bridges Chamber Music Festival. Held from 21-23 April 2023 the event will include:
A free concert for Lerwin Aged Care residents and their families
A free family concert in the soundshell at Edwards Park
A free morning meditation session with live chamber music in the Roundhouse Gardens
A diverse program of chamber music concerts showcasing the Murray Bridge Performing Arts Centre and Riverbank areas
Built around a proven innovative format which brings together performance, education and engagement aspects, the aims of Twin Bridges are to:
Provide an opportunity for audience engagement and out-reach beyond the Adelaide CBD
Deliver a live chamber music experience to those living in a regional area
Showcase works by South Australian composers
Provide a tourism and local business boost for Murray Bridge
Celebrate the local community, outdoor spaces and the arts and cultural precinct of the Murray Bridge Performing Arts Centre
The festival will celebrate SA chamber artists and provides the following benefits
Secure employment contract paid at or above the call rates published by the Musicians Union of Australia
Market development and audience engagement potential
Raising the profile of CMA, and of chamber music in South Australia
Potential for establishing relationships that may form the foundation for future tours, collaborations and regional concerts
